ASSOCIATE OF MINISTRY

ASSOCIATE OF BIBLICAL STUDIES

The Associate of Ministry (AM) and Associate of Biblical Studies (ABS) programs are designed for those applicants who have limited or no undergraduate college credit but have a burning desire to learn the Bible and serve in ministry, or both. Our Associate degree programs are suitable for pastors, elders, deacons, Sunday school teachers, ministry leaders, and any others serving or desiring to serve in leadership positions in the church or in mission fields and everyone who desires to grow in the richness of the knowledge of the Word of God and in the Christian faith.

Admission Requirements

ü    Applicants must present evidence of completion of a high school diploma or GED. Students may still begin taking classes prior to finishing high school or attaining a GED as long as evidence of a high school-level education is submitted to WTS prior to the completion of a degree program.

ü    Anyone who is over the age of thirty and/ or has college credits to transfer in from another postsecondary institution will not be required to submit proof of a high school education.

ü    All others without a high school diploma or GED may request provisional acceptance and will be permitted to take courses the same as any other student. If they continue to make satisfactory progress and do well in during their first set of courses, then their status will be automatically upgraded to full acceptance.

Course Requirements
The Associate of Ministry and Associate of Biblical Studies degrees are 60 credit-hour degree programs equivalent to a two year junior or community college degree. At least 21 credit hours must be earned at WTS. Students who complete this program are half way to receiving their Bachelor of Biblical Studies degree and are encouraged to continue studying with us.
